Credit notes can now carry the date of the invoice they credit, and French ones must

apisdkfrance

A credit note names the invoice it credits with invoiceReference. Until now, there was no field for that invoice's date.

French invoicing rule BR-FR-CO-05 ignores a reference without its date, so a French credit note sent through getpeppr failed that rule after it had been accepted.

What changed

  • New field: invoiceReferenceDate, the issue date of the credited invoice, as YYYY-MM-DD. It is sent with the reference, for every country.
  • Required under the French regime. A credit note with a france block that lacks invoiceReference or invoiceReferenceDate is refused by getpeppr with 400 invoices.france_credit_note_reference_invalid, before anything is submitted. The message names the field to add.
  • The SDK's validateInvoice() refuses an invoiceReferenceDate that is not YYYY-MM-DD.

Credit notes that do not declare the French regime are not affected; the date is optional for them.

See credit notes and the French regime in the documentation.
